Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Full-Time in Muncie, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points and visitor flow, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering customer-focused service. Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots and perimeter fencing to help to identify unusual conditions, open doors, equipment concerns and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points and visitor processing, verifying identification and/or authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate location per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disturbances and/or policy violations through established channels.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports and shift activity notes, and communicate relevant information during shift turnover.
