As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You'll interact with visitors and employees, provide outstanding customer service, and maintain detailed logs using a computer or tablet. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the manufacturing and industrial location.
Verify credentials of personnel, visitors, and contractors entering the premises.
Maintain detailed logs of access control activities and report any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with access-related inquiries and directions.
Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
Participate in emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.
