Security Officer - Industrial Access Control

As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control in Gardner, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will foster a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Maintain detailed logs of all access control activities, including visitor sign-ins and badge issuance.
- Assist with the implementation of site-specific security-related procedures and policies as directed by Allied Universal and client representatives.
- Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations, following established protocols and using problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
- Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and assisting individuals at access points within the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points and perimeter areas to help to deter security-related risks.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and coordinating with local authorities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals encountered while performing access control duties.
