As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol Driver in Sheridan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent hotel and resort location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will create a welcoming environment for guests and staff. This position requires a valid driver's license as you may be responsible for driving during patrols. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel and resort property, including the business and surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns encountered during patrols to appropriate personnel or management.
  • Assist guests and staff with directions and general information as needed, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
  • Document incidents and complete security-related reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with hotel and resort staff to address concerns and support a positive guest experience.
