About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol Driver in Williamsburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas and back-of-house spaces, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver welcoming customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting while supporting a caring, people-first team culture built on integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, back-of-house spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and guest traffic patterns, assist with directions and information, and help maintain orderly entry and exit during peak arrival and departure periods.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, medical situations, and/or fire and alarm activations, and coordinate with on-site management and local responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate shift updates to the site supervisor and/or management.
