As a Security Officer - Hospital Unarmed Patrol in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within hospital facilities to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Vaccination is required for work in hospital environments.
  • Applicants must be able to work in hospital morgue settings.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within healthcare facilities in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of the healthcare environment to support a secure atmosphere for all occupants.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and local authorities as required during incidents or emergencies.
