As a Security Officer - Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document observations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by an agile, reliable, innovative team that leads with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
- Complete timely security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders, and assist with incident documentation when required.
