As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disruptive behavior, and fire and intrusion alarms, and/or by coordinating with campus personnel and local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence hall exteriors, parking areas, walkways, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directions and campus rules, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or concerns through the required communication channels.
  • Complete routine reports such as incident reports, patrol logs, and access control documentation, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
