As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with calm, professional service. You will document activity, communicate clearly with site leadership, and respond to calls for assistance. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Have a guard card or license, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, locating resources, and coordinating with site leadership and/or responding public services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations and/or departments.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and logs, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts using approved channels.
