As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas through routine walking rounds and vehicle patrols, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support patients, visitors, and staff with respectful communication, and document observations in clear reports. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access control concerns, and alarm activations, and communicate with site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization as required by site policy, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete timely documentation of security-related activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and notify appropriate personnel of urgent issues.
