You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support vaccine and hospital operations, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with calm customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Proof of vaccination is required for this hospital site.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to clinical staff, management, and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient-care areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting maintenance hazards and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access through designated entrances, monitor visitor flow, and assist with wayfinding and de-escalation while supporting compliance with facility rules and posted requirements.
  • Complete required reports, incident logs, and shift handoffs, using Allied Universal protocols and client-specific tools to communicate security-related information to the next shift and site leadership.
