Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • One or more of the following is required: 1+ years’ law enforcement experience or 2+ years’ security supervisor and/or manager experience or 3+ years’ security experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Hospital: Restrain individuals is required.
  • 2+ years’ service in healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • Security experience of 5+ years is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hospital setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordination with site leadership and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting rooms, and parking areas, as well as exterior grounds and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, check credentials as required, and help to direct visitors to appropriate destinations while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete detailed reports of observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and communicate security-related concerns to supervisors and/or the appropriate site contacts.
