As a Security Officer - Hospital Access Driver in Palm Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and complete routine patrols while remaining visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, respond to emerging concerns with professionalism, and document key observations. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Hospital morgue experience and/or comfort working in a hospital morgue is required.
  • Hospital restrain individuals experience and/or ability to restrain individuals is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Control access at entrances and other restricted areas by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes per policy, and documenting entries and exits.
  • Monitor access control systems, cameras, alarms, and intercoms; report irregular activity and follow established protocols to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating notifications, and supporting medical staff during urgent events.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols focused on entry points, lobbies, and perimeter areas to identify security-related concerns, assist with wayfinding, and report hazards and/or maintenance issues per site procedures.
