About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Patrol in Fishersville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff, patients, and visitors with a customer-first approach, and communicate clearly when reporting concerns. Requirements

Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and by supporting emergency response activities as directed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to discourage unauthorized activity and to identify unusual conditions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate with onsite personnel and/or emergency services when appropriate.
Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor check-in and directions, and help maintain orderly flow in lobbies, corridors, and other common spaces.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems, and promptly communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.
