About The Position

As a Security Officer – Hospital Unarmed Patrols in Wexford, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct regular rounds, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service while assisting with various security-related needs. Requirements

Hospital employees must have up to date vaccines as required by the facility.
Applicants must be able to work in hospital morgue environments as required by the position.
Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting as required by the position.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help protect people, property, and information.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
Maintain thorough knowledge of site-specific procedures and protocols, including emergency response processes relevant to healthcare locations.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients while upholding the expectations of Allied Universal and the client location.
Document observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
