Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Shuttle Driver in Leesport, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hospitals, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a professional environment through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and/or identification checks at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, including shift logs and activity summaries, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces for policy compliance, assist with de-escalation when appropriate, and support orderly movement of visitors and staff.
