As a Screener with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to assist with security-related needs, and provide exceptional customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Supervisory experience is required.
Vaccines are required for work in hospital environments.
Experience working in a hospital morgue is required.
Experience restraining individuals in a hospital setting is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
Screen individuals entering the location by following established protocols, which may include temperature checks, health questionnaires, and verifying access authorizations.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain compliance with visitor management policies.
Communicate professionally and promptly with visitors, patients, staff, and/or emergency responders as necessary.
Document all activities, observations, and incidents according to site-specific requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
