As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and deliver customer service that puts people first. Backed by Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will partner with the team and act with integrity every shift.

Requirements

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site leadership and/or local public services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions needing attention.
Control access through designated entrances, verify authorization when required, and assist with visitor management and wayfinding while maintaining a professional presence.
Complete timely reports and documentation of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers using site-approved systems.
