As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post, using a company vehicle to cover assigned areas and assist staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and hospital access protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations in accordance with site policy.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to hospital leadership and Allied Universal management.
