Security Officer - Hospital Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Hospital Rounds in Santa Rosa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing an approachable presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and offer outstanding customer service and communication to everyone you encounter. Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information to enhance their experience within the healthcare location.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders during incidents and/or drills to support site-specific protocols.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift according to Allied Universal guidelines.
