About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Rounds in Modesto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or guard license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards, unusual conditions, or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Control access through designated entrances, verify authorization when required, and assist with visitor check-in directions and/or wayfinding consistent with site procedures.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision, site representatives, and/or responding public agencies.
