About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Perimeter Rover in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will make routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with calm customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to alarms and calls for assistance, and collaborate with the care team. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access control concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and follow visitor management protocols, including directing foot traffic, verifying authorization where required, and reporting suspicious behavior per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
