About The Position

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions, and help manage lines and foot traffic during high-volume periods.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical facility alerts, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Complete security-related reports and log entries with accurate details for incidents, patrol findings, and/or policy violations.
  • Support staff with non-clinical assistance such as escorts upon request and/or coordinating with local public responders during incidents.
  • Observe cameras and alarms when assigned and take appropriate action per post orders and client protocols.
  • Maintain a professional presence, follow uniform standards, and communicate clearly with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
