As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will help foster a welcoming environment, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. This is an unarmed position focused on delivering reliable and innovative service every day.

Requirements

Proof of vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required for this client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or incidents to the appropriate personnel as required.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general information as needed, maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related situations in a timely and professional manner.
