Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Delray Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay visibly present to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with calm customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work closely with the care team. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be willing and able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
Be willing and able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
Be willing and able to restrain individuals.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with clinical staff, and/or contacting local emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report concerns according to post orders.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and support visitor management processes consistent with location policy.
Complete detailed incident reports and patrol documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or location representatives, and follow chain-of-command for notifications.
