The role is for a Part Time Hospital Patrol Security Officer in Lake Worth, FL, designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift (Anchor Shift) requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to your fixed shift, you can pick up extra shifts through a scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing you to work part-time or full-time hours as desired. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when required.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and entry procedures, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Support Allied Universal and location personnel during medical-related events, alarms, and other urgent situations by following post orders and established response protocols.
