About The Position

As a Security Officer - Part Time Hospital Patrol in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, support badge and sign-in procedures when applicable, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic based on location needs.
  • Communicate with hospital personnel, patients, and the public in a courteous manner while supporting security-related requests and following post orders and/or site protocols.
