About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Watertown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a PATROL_UNARMED professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to all individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using good judgment to address concerns within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards, promptly communicating with Allied Universal management and/or site contacts as appropriate.
Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying identification as required by site policies.
Support emergency response procedures, including assisting with evacuations, medical emergencies, and/or fire alarms, following established protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
