About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Watertown, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a PATROL_UNARMED professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using good judgment to address concerns within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards, promptly communicating with Allied Universal management and/or site contacts as appropriate.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying identification as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response procedures, including assisting with evacuations, medical emergencies, and/or fire alarms, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
