Requirements

Vaccination is required for work in hospital environments.
Assignments may require duties in a hospital morgue.
Assignments may require restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to monitor for any unusual conditions.
Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel or authorities as required.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas within the healthcare environment.
Assist with wayfinding and provide information or directions to patients, visitors, and staff as needed while maintaining confidentiality and respect for privacy.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site staff to promote a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all.
