As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • Vaccination is required for work in hospital environments.
  • Assignments may require duties in a hospital morgue.
  • Assignments may require restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to monitor for any unusual conditions.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel or authorities as required.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas within the healthcare environment.
  • Assist with wayfinding and provide information or directions to patients, visitors, and staff as needed while maintaining confidentiality and respect for privacy.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site staff to promote a secure and welcoming atmosphere for all.
