About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Milton, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and customer service skills will help to deter security-related incidents while you assist with routine checks and provide support as needed. Requirements

Hospital employees must comply with vaccine requirements as mandated by the hospital.
Employees may be required to restrain individuals as part of their security-related duties.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Having a current CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and support the needs of the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols to appropriate personnel.
Assist medical staff and visitors as needed while remaining alert to security-related concerns specific to a healthcare setting.
Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Follow all site-specific protocols and communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and on-site contacts regarding incidents and daily activities.
