Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately during emergencies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity or access.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns within the facility to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any irregularities.
Support emergency response efforts as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with emergency responders.
Maintain thorough documentation of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Provide directions and general assistance to patients, visitors, and staff as needed, promoting a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining security-related awareness.
