About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Specialist in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Vaccinations are required for hospital assignments.
  • Ability to work in hospital morgue environments is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in hospital settings is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as property damage, unusual activity, or unauthorized individuals on the premises.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification, and directing visitors as needed.
  • Work closely with healthcare staff and local authorities as required to support a secure environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
