About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies within a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns, assist with directions and general inquiries, and report maintenance, access, and policy-related issues through proper channels.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post orders, assisting with crowd management and/or restricted access points, and relaying relevant information to supervisors and authorized personnel.
