You will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, service-focused communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, with opportunities to build trust with staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a guard card/license is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, hospital policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility alarms, disturbances, and/or unauthorized access concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Complete reports and logs for incidents, patrols, and unusual occurrences, and communicate professionally with nurses, administrators, and/or local responders as needed.
