About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Valencia, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle as needed to support coverage across the campus. Requirements

  • Security Experience ‐ 2+ Years is required.
  • Hospital: Vaccines is required.
  • Hospital: Morgue is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hospital: Restrain Individuals is required.
  • 2+ Years' Service in Healthcare/Medical‐Related Field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating notifications, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and check-in processes as assigned, and help to maintain orderly movement through controlled doors and corridors.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to onsite leadership and/or clinical teams as appropriate, and support investigations of security-related incidents by preserving information and observations.
