As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls, assist staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, and document activity with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supported by a caring, integrity-driven team culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Applicants must have the ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Applicants must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Applicants must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with hospital staff and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards, with working environments and conditions varying by post assignment.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as alarms, cameras, and visitor logs, and report unusual activity per site procedures.
  • Complete accurate reports and documentation for incidents, patrols, and daily activities, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership as needed.
