About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, supporting a calm, professional experience for patients, visitors, and staff. You will help manage visitor check-in, monitor access points and/or cameras, answer questions, and document security-related activity with clear communication. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of two years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk of a healthcare location by following access control procedures, visitor management protocols, and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems as assigned, documenting security-related observations and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and general information, while helping to deter unauthorized access by verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials as required.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed reports of security-related incidents, unusual activity, and shift activities, and communicate updates during shift turnover and/or as directed by supervision.
