As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, patients, and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while documenting security-related incidents, observations, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
  • Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with wayfinding, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and following post orders related to the location's daily operations.
