As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine patrols of grounds and common areas, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to resident questions and concerns with strong customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach.

Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
A Guard Card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community streets, common areas, amenities, and property boundaries to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance concerns.
Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic; assist with visitor directions and/or verification according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from emergency services and/or site management as needed.
Complete security-related reports and activity logs, communicate observations to supervisors and/or site contacts, and follow post orders and dispatch instructions.
