About The Position

As a Security Officer - HOA Patrol Driver in Saint Augustine, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a residential location, you will complete routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible, and document security-related observations to help reduce incidents. This is a driving post that requires a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, with most of your shift spent on patrol in a vehicle. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support the site with integrity and teamwork as part of Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential community.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts and/or dispatch per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying Allied Universal supervision and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and logs, including patrol observations, incidents, and/or guest interactions, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
