Security Officer - Highrise Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Highrise Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or access control needs as assigned, document activity, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and staff. You will thrive in a caring, agile team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial property setting.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout interior common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor check-in and/or badging as directed by post orders, and communicate observed issues to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire or alarm activations, and service requests, and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation, and use site systems such as radios, phones, and/or CCTV to support security-related operations.
