Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Foot Patrol in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a dynamic healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. Your presence and professionalism will support a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff. You will engage in routine patrols, maintain visibility, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within healthcare locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff and visitors, providing assistance as needed and reporting any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in emergency response activities, including providing guidance and support during evacuations or other critical events.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal policies and healthcare facility requirements.
