Security Officer - Healthcare Screening Specialist
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Screening Specialist in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Hospital employees must comply with vaccine requirements as applicable to the site.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Greet and screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to visitor screening and access control.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors and answering questions as needed.
- Report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and client protocols.
