Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and visitor management requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and/or environmental issues, and notify appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, document observations, and report unusual activity using required reporting tools and escalation procedures.
  • Support sensitive operations by controlling entry to restricted areas, maintaining post orders and chain of custody related logs when assigned, and coordinating with site leadership and local emergency responders as needed.
