About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Reception Desk in Deland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff in a professional and courteous manner at the front desk of the healthcare location.
  • Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification and/or visitor credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity near the front desk area.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific guidelines.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activity, and/or emergencies to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including coordinating with site staff and first responders according to established protocols.
  • Provide customer service by answering inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate departments or personnel within the location.
