As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Full-Time in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. This driving post involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and assist visitors as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including supporting evacuation procedures and/or coordinating with first responders.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Adhere to all company and client policies, procedures, and protocols while representing Allied Universal in a professional manner.
