About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Healthcare Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an educational environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of vaccination is required for hospital positions.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in an educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to the campus community.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with campus staff and/or local authorities when needed to address security-related matters.
