About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Team in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication as you interact with staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor flow in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Support Allied Universal and healthcare facility staff during emergencies and/or drills as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
