Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Shift in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. You will remain visible throughout the location, offer outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients. Requirements
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general inquiries to support a welcoming environment.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as directed.
- Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and client staff to maintain a secure environment for all individuals at the location.
