Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic healthcare location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the premises as needed. You will deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork in every interaction.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed within the healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification when required, and maintaining awareness of individuals on the premises.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related matters and provide a visible presence throughout the location.
Maintain thorough documentation of incidents, activities, and observations in accordance with site protocols.
